Some things should be concealed at all costs, and I think it’s safe to say that my dirty skivvies may be at the top of that list. So when I’m loading or unloading my ride in public, the easiest way I’ve found to spare everyone from witnessing such potentially horrifying sights has been to use saddlebag liners. Over the years, I’ve used a variety of bags as liners, but have found that those specifically fitted to a bike’s bags work best. Thankfully, the dimensions of stock Harley saddlebags have remained pretty much standard.
For the last few years, I’ve been on sort of a quest to find a quality liner that can really handle the rigors of containing my unmentionables trip after trip. Fate intervened one day, and I found out that my favorite gun holster company, DeSantis, also makes saddlebag liners that fit all standard H-D Touring model hard bags, except the Road King Classic’s. As soon as I got my hands on a set, it was obvious that DeSantis had crafted these liners as expertly as its holsters, and they were a perfect fit.
Each liner is constructed from heavy-duty ballistic nylon and features quality YKK zippers. A large main compartment, two side compartments, and two smaller map-sized compartments in the front and rear do a great job of keeping things organized. Twin carry handles and an adjustable, removable shoulder strap make carrying each liner to and from the bike a breeze.
Simply put, these liners are tough and durable, just like a DeSantis holster. Considering that some believe my dirty skivvies to be toxic, it’s nice to know they now have their own holsters. The more I use these bag liners, the more I appreciate how easily they handle the task of concealing those things that no one should be subjected to! AIMB
